Superman card

We all know Superman as a hero with incredible powers. Nothing can beat him. He always saves the day. There’s a Superman in all of us. “We just need the courage to put on the cape.” – Superman. A Superman could be anyone in your life. It could be your dad, a close friend or even a stranger on the street which helps you out.

This card can be crafted to show your appreciation for this person’s superpowers or to encourage this person to stay strong and keep going.

I originally crafted this card for my dad for Father’s Day. To me my dad is a superhero who has always been strong and brave. As a “grown up”, I still ask for his advice from time to time.

Photo tutorial

Below you can find the photo instructions.

Step 1: Draw a head and body shape on a sheet of grid paper and cut it out. Or download the printable template which contains all shapes, print it and cut out the head and body shape.

Step 2: Put the two shapes on a sheet of black paper. Trace them with a pencil and cut them out.

Step 3: Grab the grid paper again. This time draw a cape and a Superman emblem. Then cut out the shapes. Or download the template, print it and cut out the cape and Superman emblem. Note: If you’re not much into papercut, you can skip the process of creating the letter S and just cut out a diamond shaped border for the Superman emblem.

Step 4: Place the 2 freshly cut shapes on a sheet of red paper. Trace the shapes with a pencil and cut them out.

Step 5: Put the Superman emblem on a sheet of yellow paper. Trace the outer shape. Cut out the shape, a bit inside pencil line border. Use glue or adhesive double-sided tape to attach it to the backside of the red Superman emblem.

Step 6: Attach the cape and Superman emblem shape onto the body part. Then stick 3D foam pads on the backside of the head, body and cape and attach the shapes to the blank card.

Your card is ready. I wish you a Super Father’s Day in advance 😉
