The money holder shaker card makes it a fun way to give money to someone. Instead of adding money inside the card as usual, money becomes decoration and the centerpiece of the card itself.
The confetti and colored background add a festive touch. You can put money bills, coins, a gift card or even a handmade voucher in this card.
The money holder shaker card is suitable for many occasions, including: birthdays, house warmings, weddings and graduations.

Photo tutorial
In this photo tutorial you’ll learn step by step how to make this Money holder shaker card.

Step 1: Take a blank card and unfold it.
Step 2: Cut out a square from the card front by using a craft knife and ruler. It may be helpful to draw dots or guidelines with a pencil. Remove these afterwards with an eraser. (The dimensions of my card are 13×13 cm, the cut out square is 9×9 cm)

Step 3: Turn the card over and put double-sided adhesive tape on the backside of the card front, surrounding the cut out square. (Thin / normal sized tape will both do the job)

Step 4: Take a transparent sheet and cut out a square which is slightly larger than the square of the card front. Attach it on the backside of the card front.
Step 5: Use a lens cloth to wipe away dirt from the transparent sheet.

Step 6: Put foam tape on the border of the card front’s backside.

Step 7: Let’s make the confetti. Pick a few sheets of different colored paper.
Step 8: Use a hole punch to make confetti from the colored paper. Flatten the confetti a bit, so it can move around freely inside the shaker card.
Step 9: Then put the confetti on the card front.

Step 10: Grab the money or gift card you want to give as a present. You might need to fold the money bills to make them fit inside the square.

Step 11: Remove the three protective layers from the foam tape (from the sides and bottom of the card).

Step 12: Take a sheet of colored paper and put it on top of the foam tape. This will serve as the card front background.
Step 13: Cut off the excess paper, but leave a strip at the top of the card, about the same width as the card’s border.

Step 14: Fold the strip around the card.
Step 15: Cut the sides of the strip slightly diagonal.

Step 16: Fold the paper strip in. The money and confetti will stay in place now. This way the card won’t have to be torn when removing the money from the card.
