We all are familiar with rainy days. But did you know rain can be very romantic sometimes? This love card is inspired by the quote “If a raindrop would mean I love you, it would rain forever.”

Making this card will take about 15 minutes, which makes it a great last minute card for any romantic occasion.

Step 1: Take a sheet of white paper. Draw a cloud shape with a pencil.
Note: Keep in mind your card’s size, so you can be sure it fits. It might take multiple drawings till you’re satisfied. For me it was helpful to first draw an oval shape.

Step 2: Cut out the cloud shape. Put it on a sheet of light purple paper and trace it.

Step 3: Cut out the traced cloud shape.

Step 4: Take 2 or 3 sheets of different colored paper. I chose light pink, bright pink and dark purple because these colors look good together. Use a small sized heart punch to punch 3 or 4 hearts from each sheet of colored paper.

Step 5: Try to mix the different colors, so you’ll have a great variety.

Step 6: Put foam pads on the backside of the cloud shape and attach it to the card front.

Step 7: Use glue to attach the small heart shapes to the card front, below the cloud shape.

Your card is ready now! If you want, you can write down a love quote about raindrops inside the card.

  1. This design is so cute! It also reminds me of a baby cloud, so this card also makes great ‘It’s a girl/boy!’ card depending on the color used for the cloud. And I love it’s inspired by a quote. It shows you can craft find inspiration in anything.
